Ministry Training from Christian Leaders Institute
My Name is Isaiah Githinji Kimani a born again Christian and a student at Christian Leaders Institute. In my early life,
I was born in 1978 here in Kenya. My parents introduced me to Sunday School and grew up knowing the Lord during my formative years.
In 1997, I rededicated my life to God and was later baptized with the Holy Spirit at a church called K Full Gospel Churches of Kenya based in Kitale town. In the year 2001, I migrated from Kitale to Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya and secured a volunteer job at a nonprofit which I later came to discover was owned by Reverend Sun Myung Moon’s Unification Church. When I joined, it did dawn on me that what the church was advocating as teaching young men about divine principle and other subjects was a cleverly drawn program of brainwashing young people to become Unification Church followers. I then left the place and joined Nairobi Pentecostal Church Karen as a church member and resolved to reconnect my faith with Christ.
My Church Ministry
Nairobi Pentecostal Church Karen(now Citam Karen) was a very vibrant church with an empowered congregation, very engaging and well-trained ministers and opportunities to serve in dozen of ministries. I discovered my passion in music, trained, and started playing drums in the main services, and also joined the choir as s tenor and also supported the children ministry as a volunteer.
As young adult and participating in the Young Adults Ministry, I went through discipleship training to help me to be an effective Christian and a disciple of Jesus Christ. At Nairobi Pentecostal Church Karen, I served in music ministry until the year 2009 and took a break from music and continued fellowship as a regular member with non-participation in any church ministry. In 2016 I came back into active ministry and signed up as a volunteer Sunday School teacher assistant at Parklands Baptist Church for one year.
Marriage and Family
In June 2015, I got married to my lovely wife, Ruth Sheen Biragane from Uganda at a colorful wedding ceremony held at Parklands Baptist Church Nairobi. Currently we are blessed with one daughter.
Ministry Vision
It is my hope and aspiration to be more active in my church through ministry and that is why I am seeking ministry training from Christian Leaders Institute to equip me as a leader at home, at church, and in society. In 1997, I rededicated my life to God and was later baptized with the Holy Spirit at a church called Full Gospel Churches of Kenya based in Kitale town.
