The Restorative Work of God
I grew up in a Christian home. At the age of ten I gave my life to Christ and was baptized. I received a degree in Graphic Design/Illustration in 1995 but always felt called to something more. I completed studies at Destiny Leadership Institute in 2010. And am a licensed, ordained minister through the National Association of Christian Ministers. In 2001, I married but divorced because of domestic violence and a backslidden husband.
I have an 18 year old daughter from that marriage whom I homeschooled full time. I remarried in 2009 to my current husband Nicolas. We have six-year-old triplets who I am currently homeschooling. I am presently serving in children’s ministry, worship team and teaching ministry at Jubilee Christian Centre in Elgin, IL where I have been a member since 1980. Over the year, I have served in youth ministry and prayer ministry over the years. I have been actively involved in ministry of some form since my teen years. Although, I have taken on ministry positions in other congregations and home churches for a season, the Lord has always led me back to serve at my home church. I also served for two years as a teacher and as the Student and Family Pastor for Liberty Liberal Arts Academy in Bartlett, IL, which is a hybrid private Christian school.
Mountaintop and Valley Experiences
I have had my own personal mountaintop and valley experiences. Recently, I took on a position at Root Bible Academy as a Bible coach/pastor. I have walked through finding my way back to a healthy relationship with the Lord after hurts and disappointments. As a single mother, I have survived many struggles. I am fully bilingual in Spanish. I have a passion for serving and helping people. Especially, I have a heart for community outreach. I love seeing the restorative work of God in broken lives and sharing my own experiences to encourage others. I am excited to have completed my Life Coach certification with Christian Leaders Institute and look forward to using the skills that I have gained here to help others.
